About One Person Company (OPC)
It is a new type of entity whose concept is introduced in India by Companies Act, 2013. It refers to a company which has only one Individual person as its sole member having all its control over the affairs of the company. This concept of OPC works on the principles of an ordinary company i.e. having all the features of a company like separate legal entity form its members, limited liability, perpetual succession etc. All the formalities corresponding to the resolutions and other compliances requires the only authorization from that sole member which results in quick decision making and time saving.The mechanism of OPC is introduced with a view of making the unorganized sector to organized as the Sole traders got a good opportunity to getting enter into the organized sector without getting other peoples to join him and having all benefits of that sector.
Requirements:
Ø Only Individual person who is a citizen and resident in India who lived in India for a period of 182 days or more during the preceding one year.Ø Nomination of the sole member is compulsory.Ø Minor cannot be the member but can be registered as a nominee.Ø No minimum capital requirement.Ø DSC (Digital Signature Certificate) is required.Ø Minimum 1 Director is required.

Ø Copy of PAN Card of member and directorØ Passport size photograph of member and directorØ Copy of Aadhar Card/ Voter identity card/ Driver’s license as address proof member and directorØ Electricity/ Water bill/ Telephone bill/ Latest bank statement as proof of Registered Office (Business Place)Ø Copy of Sale Deed/Property Deed (If owned property), otherwise the Landlord NOC if the property is taken on rent / lease.
